Palm Sunday Gospel: San Mateo 21:1-11 - Matthew 21:1-11


1 When Jesus and the disciples drew near Jerusalem and came to Bethphage on the Mount of Olives, Jesus sent two disciples,

2 saying to them,“Go into the village opposite you, and immediately you will find an ass tethered, and a colt with her. Untie them and bring them here to me.
2 ilekña nu siha, "Hanao fanmalak i sengsong sa gaiguenao gi menan-miyu, sa ensigidas inseda un buliko na magogode, sumisiha yan un poyino: pula ya unchulieyu magi.

3 And if anyone should say anything to you, reply,‘The master has need of them. Then he will send them at once.”
3 Yanggin guaha hamyo sumangane hafa, alok, "I Siñot ha nesesita. Ya infanmanae ensigidas"

4 This happened so that what had been spoken through the prophet might be fulfilled:
4 Ya todo este humuyong para umakumple i sinangan i profeta ni i ilekña:

5 Say to daughter Zion,“Behold, your king comes to you, meek and riding on an ass, and on a colt, the foal of a beast of burden.”
5 Sangane i hagan Sion, "Estague i Rai-mu na matto guiya hagu, mamso ya matachong gi hilo un buliko, yan un poyino, patgon buliko.

6 The disciples went and did as Jesus had ordered them.
6 Ya i disipulo siha manma'pos ya hafatinas haftaimano i mantinago as Jesus.

7 They brought the ass and the colt and laid their cloaks over them, and he sat upon them.
7 Ya machule i buliko yan i poyino ya hapo'lo i magaguñiha gi hiloñiha, ya matachong gi hiloñiha.

8 The very large crowd spread their cloaks on the road, while others cut branches from the trees and strewed them on the road.
8 Ya un gosdankolo na linahyan taotao hahuto i magaguñiha gi chalan, yan palo manmanutot ramas hayo, ya hahuto gi chalan.

9 The crowds preceding him and those following kept crying out and saying: “Hosanna to the Son of David; blessed is the he who comes in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest.”
9 Ya i linahyan taotao ni i manmafo'na, yan i manatatem mana'agang, ilekñiñiha: "Hosana i Lahin David; Dichoso i matto pot i na'an i Señot; Hosana giya hilulo.

10 And when he entered Jerusalem, the whole city was shaken and asked, “Who is this?”
10 Anae humalomgue guiya Jerusalem, todo i siuda manatborotao, ya ilekñiha: "Hayi este?"

11 And the crowds replied,“This is Jesus the prophet, from Nazareth in Galilee.”
11 Ya i linahyan taotao ilekñiha: "Este si Jesus i profetan Nasaret yan Galilea."
